Helena, Montana Sep 22, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Montana SECGC Celebrates 35 Years, Announces $1,000 Grand Prize from Elk Mountain Sales

The Montana State Employee Charitable Giving Campaign (SECGC) is celebrating 35 years of service, announcing that state employees have raised more than $11.5 million since 1990, creating an estimated $33.6 million in community benefit across Montana.

This year, Helena-based Elk Mountain Sales is stepping forward as the campaigns featured prize partner. Owner Bob McWilliams has donated a $1,000 grand prize to be awarded through a drawing open to all Montana state employees who contribute during the 2025 campaign. The contribution recognizes the power of community partnerships and encourages broad participation.

SECGC has thrived because of the generosity of Montanas public employees and the strong support of local businesses, said Mya Chalifoux, Campaign Coordinator. Elk Mountain Sales $1,000 grand prize is a meaningful way to encourage state employees to donate and support approved non-profits stae-wide.

In addition to Elk Mountain Sales, the 2025 campaign continues to be supported by longstanding partners including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Montana Lottery, The Base Camp, and 1889 Coffee and more. Their ongoing prize contributions provide recognition and incentives while reinforcing the campaigns core mission of helping Montana nonprofits thrive.

Community Impact

Since its inception, SECGC has provided critical support to hundreds of nonprofits across the state, including organizations focused on food security, affordable housing, child protection, veterans services, health care, and environmental preservation. In 2024 alone, employees raised $364,000 in donations.

Research from the Montana Nonprofit Association indicates that each dollar donated to nonprofit services produces approximately three dollars in community impact, underscoring the campaigns efficiency and reach (Montana Nonprofit Association, 2023).
